Four Wheeling and Hiking the Unitas!

The Little Sahara just east of Nephi. We went on the last cool day of June.

Diamond Fork
Another nice cool day due to the higher elevation.

GW says I’m getting better at handling the four wheeler. YAy!

I was able to go with a group of three ladies to the Unitas for a day.
Such a treat since I haven’t been to the Unitas for many years. The hike was almost six miles around the Lofty Loop Lakes. At times I got very winded and had to sit down. We were up about 11,000 feet and my body was just not used to such a rigorous hike. The company was awesome, the women were patient, and I’m glad I went, even though getting to the top of the mountain was painful!

Loved the wild flowers!

Cold but beautiful water!

Indian Paint Brush

Breath taking views all day long.

Almost Heaven!

                                         Kathy, Megan, Liz and me.
Liz was amazing! She has had four brain surgeries in the last ten years. She got pretty sick towards the end but pulled through! I’m so glad I got to share such a wonderful adventure with her and these awesome women! Next to Julie’s wedding this was probably the highlight of my summer!
