The Hinckley’s gave Julie a nice luggage set for Christmas.
We sarted the month of December by participating in a Christmas program with members from the Provo West Stake. Jessie and I sang "In the Bleak Midwinter" with Julie as our accompanist. There was a beautiful harp duet by Marilyn Eliason and Sister Libutti. The Cook family played a Brass quartet that sounded great! I also really enjoyed the men's quartet that Jesse Samuel sang in and then Julie played the organ while Marilyn Eliason played the piano. Another favorite Lora Thompson and her friend singing Pie Jesu! The entire evening was a great way to start the month of December.
This year I was asked to be in charge of Dibel testing for the entire Kindergaten. The woman who used to be in charge quit at Amelia Earhart so I was asked to take over. Everything went pretty well. The only thing different for December, middle of the year testing is that there are four short test versus three. I noticed I had to use a little more energy keeping the children focused. My voice was tired at the end of each day but we all survived.
Now I’m off work for two weeks and Life is good. I’ve been cooking large pots of home made soups for the week and I still have to catch up on cookie baking, then I can relax a little. Hopefully.
