Sister Oregon

Some crazy things from this week:

1.) During Stake Conference on Saturday a kid pulled the fire alarm. Right in the middle of the Stake Primary President's talk. She was stunned for a second when the alarm sounded at first, and then she goes, "Was that my child who pulled that??" Haha. Unfortunately the fire department didn't come fast enough so they just told everyone to go home. It was a really good meeting though about personal revelation, and one of the people we are teaching came.

2.) We tracted an entire neighborhood (for a blitz so it wasn't our area) and 100% got full fledge rejected. My trainer said that had never happened to her, she always found at least one person slightly interested. One guy opened the door and talked to us about science for seriously twenty minutes (he was really nice though compared to everyone else on the street). He said "mormonism is an ok religion. I like that you guys evolve." and then we offered him a Book of Mormon and he said "There is not an ATOM in my body that has ANY desire to read that book." Hahaha, NOT AN ATOM.

3.) We walked up to knock on a door of a person we hadn't met, and looked down to see a Book of Mormon on her porch with a note that said "no thank you". This was truly bizarre because a week and a half ago we had knocked on this door and there was no answer. (she was listed as "potentially interested" in our area book, and we saw that the elders had given her a Book of Mormon) And nothing on the porch. It was crazy timing, I don't know how she knew we were going to knock that day hahaha. But that didn't stop Sister Atkin! She knocked on the door and we actually had a good conversation with her, but yeah definitely not interested.

Serving a mission is great! Definitely not easy but great. We taught the Plan of Salvation to a lady named June this week who lives in the trailer park and it was powerful stuff. People need this message! This week is going to be crazy, I'm excited to see what miracles happen. As you can see the work here in Bend is a little tougher but we are determined!
