Hey everyone!
I've been so terrible at writing lately but just know the mission is SO GOOD. I'm so happy and in the Work right now.
Updates:
- We were quarantined this past week because some sister missionaries in Redmond have covid! We saw them a bit before they had symptoms, so honestly I think Sister White and I are good. A little stir crazy but Facebook is an amazing missionary tool.
- I was almost ransomed for 1,000,000 dollars!!! Lol that's a little more dramatic than it actually was but basically on exchanges last month we were doing a pass off lesson with some Elders with an old man the hermanas had just barely met. This guy sat down and talked for an HOUR about how this floating circle aka God told him to build a church in Prineville Oregon, France and Mongolia. At one point he stood up and stated yelling how the Marriott hotel calls him a lot so he knows our church is loaded and we are going to get him a million dollars to help build his church. He handed me a piece of paper like some scribe and dictated a "contract" with us for the money. Yeah we got out of there as quick as we could, he was a harmless old man though (we coulda taken him). I got to keep the "contract" as a souvenir so I'm not complaining.
- GRACEEEEE is amazing! She's a 15 year old we started teaching. G-O-L-D-E-N. So prepared for the gospel. I've adopted her as my little sister. She just soaks up everything we teach - she painted me a picture of some tulips and she wrote this cute little song based off of one of our lessons! She gives me so much joy and makes the hard missionary days worth it. Her mom doesnt like her meeting with us though, so if you want to pray for Grace's mom to have a softened heart that would be amazing!
Bend is amazing, I sincerely love serving right now.
I've been studying a lot about light and joy lately! Here's a bomb scripture from this week:
"And if your eye be single to my glory, your whole bodies shall be filled with light, and there shall be no darkness in you, and that body which is filled with light comprehended all things." D&C 88:67
