I'm slightly convinced that Monmouth Oregon is going to be translated pretty soon here.
So many miracles happened this week! The other sisters covering the other half of Monmoth have also had do many miracles. It makes me so happy.
My favorite miracle this week:
We were out street contacting. The day hadn't been going too well and already we could tell nobody was really outside to talk. We kept walking around and I was getting discouraged, but I remembered zone conference when we talked about faith - how when you change your attitude, you change your faith. So I told myself we were going to find people to talk to and that a miracle was just around the corner.
We walked back to the car and drove to a more populated part of town. We got out to walk around, and immediately when we turned the corner a man was sitting there. We actually scared him when we said hi because we came out of nowhere, but this man was so prepared to talk with us! We gave him a Book of Mormon and set up a time to come back. We taught him the restoration a few days later, outside a convenience store sitting on yellow buckets as traffic passed by around us. It was an interesting and humble environment - and one of the most spiritual restoration lessons I've ever taught. We read Alma 7:11-13 and he started to cry. He said reading that scripture made his whole day. God is so good and I was humbled to know that ridiculous faith does cause ridiculously amazing miracles!
