Life is going good here in good ol' Monmouth Oregon.
MARY IS GETTING BAPTIZED IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS. So excited. She's been two weeks smoke free now and you can honestly see a difference. There is such a light about her, she is so ready to be baptized.
Street contacting is going good! Haha God definitely has a sense of humor. I remember joking to Sister Fillmore about me training when we were allowed to street contact again, since I barely did that in my training with the virus... lo and behold that is exactly what I'm doing now! Honestly I've loved talking to people outside. We talked to this one guy who's a cultist and believes in crystals and Odin and stuff. BUT he was surprised by our genuinity and was interested to give the Book of Mormon a try. He said he's never found true peace. We are calling him tomorrow. I love talking to strangers.
Speaking of strangers! We got this guy's number during a street contact last week and shared a short message about scriptures with him. We invited him to read the bible and since he didn't have a physical copy he downloaded gospel library app. Flash forward to yestesterday - we call him back to ask about the bible reading and he was in 1 NEPHI 7. Sister Risenmay and I looked at eachother in shock as he started describing Lehi and his family. Haha what a happy accident. We taught him the restoration (explained he wasn't reading the bible haha) and he is interested to know more!
The work here in Monmouth is too good. Sister Risenmay is too good. Our 4 sisters apartment is too good. God is too good.
