It's been a while since I've reported on all of the Carlson family activities. My computer died and it will cost a lot of money to get Jenny's old Apple laptop fixed. So I'm relying on my iPad to write again and that makes me happy.
I'm going to start with the latest news about Julie's mission call! She received it a week ago today. Lot's of friends and family showed up and we all squished into our small living room to listen to Julie read about where she will be serving starting in the year 2020!
Julianna Carlson leaves January 29, 2020 for the Provo MTC to prepare to serve in the Salem, Oregon Mission! We are so excited for her!! Her Mission President and wife are from my brother Kent's ward in Layton Utah. President and Sister R. Scott Wilde. They began their calling last July and will be living in Oregon for the next three years. President Wilde was also my brother’s Home Teacher for four years so that's pretty awesome as well.
Jessie is on the far left down in the front.
Jenny is on the far right, in the middle.. JJ was in the base section so the camera's never made it to where he was standing. But we could see JJ personally from where we sat and we couldn’t see Jenny, Jessie and Julie. The choir sounded wonderful and everyone blended beautifully.
But also beautiful!
They slept in a Yurt for two nights in Victor Idaho. Jess didn't know that's where her grandma Carlson grew up. Grandparents as well as Great Grandparents are buried in the Victor Idaho Cemetery.
Elder Hinckley has officially arrived in Iowa.
Hurrah! Iowa is where I was born and lived until age seven. Elder Hinckley will be a great missionary!

Julie and Jenny are both in this photo. Also my good friend Liz Casperson who is standing to the right of Julie down in the front.

Jenny and JJ got to fly to Oklahoma for a wedding. The Carter family lived in Oklahoma for almost ten years before moving to Utah.
Jess and Jesse got to drive to Yellowstone National Park for Fall Break.
Yes it was cold! But also beautiful!

The fall weather has been wonderful! I talked GW into buying a John Deere riding lawn mower since Julie is our last mower in the family. I didn't want to pay someone to come take care of our yard so I volunteered to do it as long as I get to drive the mower. hehe😊
GW and I both are trying to recover from a cold. I caught my cold being an Aide for afternoon Kindergarten and GW got his elk hunting. I continue to cross guard before and after school for a little more extra income. Next week is our Primary Program which both Julie and I are involved in.
Julie and Jessie flew to Boston Massachusetts for Sarah Janes wedding the end of August.
